Most of you all probably don’t know this, but before I had my head on the hunt for perfect home finds, I was a teacher. I know, big shocker! But, there is one huge takeaway that I took for this time of year from my time in the school hallway, and that is how to give a teacher gift card, or really any kind of gift card. Sure, you can stick one in a card and hope it doesn’t get thrown away or place it in the tiny little envelope it comes in, but I found a creative way to gift gift cards that holds a lasting impression. Plus, it’s really two gifts in one!
How to Package a GiftCardI am a big believer that you can never, ever, ever go wrong with a Target gift card. It’s just impossible. My favorite way to give a gift card is to use a frame. There are so many shapes and styles to choose from, and they can really add a unique touch to your gift! You can give the card and frame as is, or tie a piece of ribbon around it for an extra special touch! For mat sizing, you can use a fun piece of Christmas scrapbook paper behind the frame, or just a piece of white stock paper. If you’re not feeling a full on frame moment, I could not recommend using my favorite acrylic frames more! They’re so easy to assemble and change in and out. You also don’t have to worry about a mat or particular size of card! You can include a little note about keeping the frame and adding a photo of their choice once they use their gift card.
Ribbon Favorites 
Sometimes wrapping can feel overwhelming, especially if you have a lot on your plate! You have to think through all the cuts, where to put the tape, what do I do with all that extra paper etc etc. Sometimes, keeping it simple is best. Adding a little ribbon and a fun gift tag can go a long way, especially if you’re gifting a frame or a book! Here are some of my favorite ribbon finds this season. Another great way to wrap two gifts in one is by using a serving tray with a coffee table book inside! Fluff some tissue or a decorative hand towel around the book and slip it inside the tray.
