It’s finally cozy season. Unless you live in the South like me, and the weather just can’t make its mind up. But, my calendar says December, so you better believe I’m going to take advantage of all the cozy styles and shapes… got to hide those Christmas snacks somewhere!
I like to keep it really simple with my winter wardrobe. I stick with a basic color palette (usually neutrals), and then add in a few fun accent pieces here and there. Basically, I dress myself like I dress my house — if you find something that works for you, don’t break it! I pick one piece a day that’s my investment piece — my shoes or sometimes even just a cute piece of jewelry or a bag, and the rest I keep simple and affordable. Especially since my clothes inevitably end up with some sort of something from my kid’s day. And although I wouldn’t change a minute, I do need to have a few things around for when a quick change is needed!
Usually, you can find me in leggings, jeans, and a cozy pullover. Walmart makes it super easy to put some go-to outfits together. They have a really simple shipping and returns process too if you do most of your shopping online like me. Below are my favorite pieces in stores and online this season! You can find all these looks for less than $50.

I like to find pieces that can double for a day in leggings and a fun date night or party with a cute pair of pants! Sweaters are the perfect piece for just that. Below are a few of my favorite neutral sweater pieces from Walmart, with a few fun holiday pops of color here and there!

Outerwear styles are constantly changing, and I’m loving the fun puffer jackets this season! They’re weather resistant, and I feel like the styles out now are a little thinner, so I don’t feel like a marshmallow running around town. Below are my favorite jacket finds from Walmart!

the bottom line
I’m pretty picky about the leggings I wear, just because I am constantly on the go or crawling around with my one year old. I like to find ones that are super comfy, but don’t completely stretch out by the end of the day. Jeans have become a dress up piece for me these days, so I’ve been super excited about these fun comfy pant options from Walmart!

Whether you’re looking for a new piece for holiday hangs, or simply trying to build a staple winter wardrobe, these pieces will fit in seamlessly. I recommend mixing and matching and sticking with an easy three (black, olive, and a neutral cream). Add a fun pair of tennis shoes and boots, and you’re good to go all season long!
