Decorate With Woven Accents

You all know by now that I love to decorate with neutrals. It’s not a secret, even though I do believe “neutral” is a color. It just is. However, I do think that the feel and tone of a neutral space can change wildly depending on the textures, tones, metals, etc that are used. In the midst of seasonal decorating, I am very thankful for a solid foundation and base to pop all my fun accents off of. Though the seasons may change, my constant go-to’s keep my living room, dining room, and kitchen cohesive. Today I’m sharing how to integrate woven accents into your space, from woven wall decor to decorative woven baskets etc!

Woven accent pieces are a favorite to add to my space. I think they can bring a lot of warmth into a neutral zone, while still proving a good backdrop for other colors and tones. They can come in all shapes and sizes, from the fairly obvious woven basket, to furniture pieces, to even accent lighting! Woven decor also brings a natural element and contrast to all my fabric pieces. I also love them for their multi-functional purposes. My woven placemats can be used on the table, or hung on a pattern on the wall. My drum side table from Urban Outfitters is currently being used in Wells’ room, but I pull it out for extra seating when I have people over. I like to find pieces that serve purpose and add a special aesthetic touch to my space. Here are my favorite woven pieces to integrate into your living, dining, kitchen, or dining spaces! Most I own and love.

Woven Decor I Own & Love

Amazon Woven Bamboo Shades

Amazon Bamboo Blinds

These woven blinds from Amazon come in a variety of sizes and colors. My favorite part about them is the blackout feature!

Amazon Woven Table Charger

Amazon Woven Charger

These woven chargers from Amazon are great for your dining room table in every season. They have a casual look and feel on their own, but they can be easily dressed up for more formal place settings.

Walmart Woven Vase for Flowers

Woven Vase

This woven vase is one of my new favorite finds. It’s another piece that can be used multi-seasonally, either with fresh greenery form outside, or staged by itself on a bookcase.

Target Woven Accessory Tray

TARGET WOVEN TRAY

This woven tray from Target can be used on a coffee table, as a serving piece, or even on the center of a kitchen island. I’ve also used it as a gift, which you can read about here.

I am constantly browsing and adding new woven finds to my favorite lists. I am a stickler for looking for pieces that are tightly woven because those will hold up better with kids, dogs, and every day wear and tear. One of my tell tale signs is to look at the edging before purchasing to see if there is any initial fraying or if the weave has any holes. Below are some of my other favorite woven finds I have loved along the way!

Woven Tables

One of the easiest ways to bring woven products into your home is through your accent furnishings. Remember, you want to choose pieces where there aren’t loose pieces of weave, so they won’t fray upon wear and tear.

Woven Nesting Target Tables

Woven Nesting Tables

These woven nesting tables from Target are the perfect fit for a living room or reading nook. Put the side by side for a fun coffee table feel.

Woven Drum Table Amazon

Woven Drum Table

I have a similar little table like this one from Amazon in Wells’ room. We absolutely love how durable it is with the kids! It adds a fun and still elegant touch. I pull it out for extra seating when needed.

World Market - Woven Storage Cabinet

Woven Side Table

This is another fun piece from World Market to add with a woven front. I love using this piece as a bar storage cart, sideboard, or to hide toys! Add some baskets to the shelves on the inside for extra storage space.

Accent Lighting

Another fun way to bring in the woven feel into your space is through accent lighting. You can choose lamp shades, bases, or light fixtures with a fun texture to bring the look into your space. I suggest only picking one or two woven pieces per room so that it doesn’t become overpowering in the space.

Woven Jute Lamp

Light up a corner!

I love the tightly woven pattern of this table lamp from World Market that is currently on sale. It keeps things feeling pretty modern while integrating the woven texture. I would put this piece on a fun glass or metal side table to mix the feel!

Amazon Woven Pendant Light

Or… make a big change!

These woven pendant lights from Amazon are a fun addition to any space! I love these in a kitchen or office space.

Other Woven Accent Pieces

You can shop all my favorite woven rattan pieces on my Amazon storefront here. Bring in the fun texture using baskets for storage, blankets, kids toys or remotes. You can use smaller rattan accent pieces on shelves for styling. Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box in terms of styling!

Amazon Woven Rectangular Mirror

Woven Mirror

Bringing in woven framed mirrors is a fun way to add the texture! This piece from Amazon would work well in a dining room, living room, hallway or even in a powder room bathroom!

Amazon Decorative Woven Basket Set

Decorative Woven Basket

These woven baskets from Amazon are the perfect addition to any shelving unit. They can also be a great place to hide remotes!

I also have several woven rugs scattered throughout my home. My woven runner from Amazon is my favorite choice because it’s super durable. I have it in my hallway downstairs, and I consistently am grateful for the tight weave on it. You can find more of my rug picks here.
