My favorite way to begin prepping for holiday hosting is to create a beautiful ambiance in my home before I set the table and prepare the food. This holiday simmer pot recipe is so simple, and creates the perfect wintry scent that fills my entire home!

My Go-To Holiday Simmer Pot Recipe

In my Christmas simmer pot recipe, I use an orange, cranberries, cinnamon sticks, rosemary, and whole cloves. All I do is bring a large pot of water to simmer and add in all of the ingredients! The fragrance lasts all evening long, and can even be reheated for another day or two to continue enjoying the scent! You can also use a a slow cooker with the lid on if you won’t have time to manage the water level over the course of the evening. If you’re looking for a more fallish scent, check out this stovetop potpourri recipe I also enjoy.

what you’ll need:

Charcuterie Board - I also like this one from Amazon

Look how pretty this mix is! I use this Amazon Basics dutch oven weekly in my kitchen. It is so great for cooking all the things and has held up really well. I have made everything from sourdough to our favorite soups.

While I was at the grocery store picking up all of the ingredients for my holiday party, I found so many beautiful serveware pieces to add to my collection! I have been so impressed by the quality of these platters and cake stands, and the price is outstanding. I love mixing different platters to make my table interesting.

I’ve also been pleased with the serving and hosting pieces I have recently ordered from Amazon! This decanter and wine glass set are a great duo to display on your buffet or bar cart.
