Today I’m sharing a long overdue peek at my laundry room makeover! Renovating this room gave me confidence that even the smallest spaces can be transformed with a few upgrades. Here’s a peek at the details (more pics after the process, below), including these braided seagrass baskets I used for storage.

I could not be more excited about how this turned out! Sharing the process below along with some laundry room décor ideas and organization hacks for those of you refreshing a similar space.

Laundry Room: Before

We made three main updates to this room: floors, cabinets, and wallpaper. First, the teardown! We left the configuration the same to save money, so getting started was fairly easy.

The room is actually a good size! But it wasn’t being utilized very well and ended up feeling more cramped than it should. The drab color scheme we started with didn’t help either! So we pulled out the cabinets and flooring.

Next, we landed on this pretty wallpaper. The greenery made the room feel more serene. We used this install kit and wallpaper glue to secure it in place and smooth it over. We closed up this awkward walkthrough by turning it into shelving. No more wasted space here!

Next up in our laundry room makeover, the cabinet install! I had them custom built by a local cabinet shop so they would fit perfectly and make the most of the room’s footprint. We painted them with Sherwin Williams “accessible beige” to complement the wallpaper.

To give them a more luxurious look, I used these cabinet knobs and drawer pulls.

Next we replaced the sink. See how it turned out below!

For the floors, I chose a white tile and taupe tile that we had cut down to square in order to make the pattern. The white has a marble look and the taupe gives off a cement look. Both are porcelain tiles which are water and stain resistant and very durable.

I love how the countertops turned out too! We used this laminate for a modern marble inspired countertop that was more affordable and easier to maintain. The wraparound design elevated the look.

We upgraded the sink with this top mount sink and faucet combo.

Last but not least, the laundry room accessories to make life easier. This collapsible laundry basket and collapsible drying rack gets daily use in my home. Both necessities that typically take up tons of space but are now thankfully super easy to store!
