We ended last year by closing on a new property and with that has meant lots of new walls to decorate in the coming months. The new farmhouse is filled with white walls just waiting to be adorned, so I quickly began my search for some large scale wall art to make the place feel more cozy and lived-in.

Below, I’m sharing a few photos from the beginning stages of decorating along with my favorite finds from retailers like Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, Amazon, and Marshalls, which are all great places to find art online. As much as I love to decorate with a beautiful wall mirror (and they’ll certainly find their places here), I appreciate the added texture and color that a large piece of wall art or an oversized tapestry wall hanging can provide.

Where to Buy a Large Tapestry Wall Hanging

So far Anthropologie and Pottery Barn have been my absolute favorites for living room wall art and large tapestries! They have such beautiful, quality tapestry pieces starting at $198, on up to around $1200 for framed canvas art. In some cases, you can choose from several different sizes to find the right fit for your space.

When it comes to finding the most affordable large scale wall art, Target, Amazon, and Marshalls are my go-to—you can find some very oversized pieces for your living room, dining room, guest room and more at each retailer, and I’ve shared a few options for those below.

This hanging tapestry from Anthropologie is made of a woodland landscape printed on vintage inspired, textured paper and held up with pine boards, which are so much easier and more unique than your typical frame! It also keeps it lightweight if you’re not looking to work with super heavy pieces of art, but would still like the large footprint.

Large Tapestry Wall Hangings

These large tapestry wall hangings are a great way to cover a large wall or space on a budget! Perfect for a dining room, living room, entryway, bedroom, office space and more, and less of an investment than framed canvas art (which I’ll share more about below). I prefer the more subtle, earth tones — it’s a great way to bring in color while still keeping a space neutral. I love the warmth that each of these pieces bring. Shop more below!

Large Landscape Wall Art

Whether framed or unframed, there is something about large landscape paintings that can be so soothing, giving a space a tranquil and welcoming feel. Large pieces like my piece above are great for getting proportions right when you have a lot of “white space,” or larger accessories like this table lamp and buffet that wouldn’t look right next to a smaller piece. Vertical pieces can draw the eye upward, while square or horizontal pieces can help balance a long piece of furniture.

Whether it’s landscape, florals, or other nature-inspired scenes, large abstract wall art can add interest and texture to a space. I love both the look of something bright and neutral as well as more moody pieces that lend a little contrast to a white wall. It’s really all about how you want the space to feel! Shop my abstract wall art favorites below, and be sure to tag me on Instagram @clickandlove to share your favorite large scale art pieces that you’ve found too.
