There are 3 paint colors that I use most in my home. They are great neutrals and have been popular over the years. These colors are classics that will last throughout the years and make switching out decor items so easy. I prefer to have a main color palette in a home and base all colors used off of that palette. Using 3 main colors help the spaces flow together but still have dimension. Below you will find the three main colors I have chosen to use in our home! Each color is a selection from the Benjamin Moore line but can be color matched at many retailers if you don’t have a store near you! Keep in mind when choosing paint colors that the lighting in your space will always affect the color that you see. Changing out lightbulbs can be an easy way to achieve the overall color you are hoping for!

Simply White

In my opinion, this is one of the very best white paint options out there! It does not have a tone of undertones or pigment added so it is a great basic white. There is a slight creamy feel to it so it shows up soft and not too bright. I love that it is crisp without being too harsh. There are no grey tones so it doesn’t have the harsh feel that so many other white paints have. If you are looking for a white, I definitely recommend trying this one. We have used it in so many spaces in our home including our kitchen. laundry room, bedrooms and sunroom. In every space that we used Simply White, we painted the trim to match. We used an eggshell finish on the walls and satin finish on the trim.

Notre Dame

I love this dark paint so much! When looking for a dark paint, I wanted an option that came across as black in many different lights but not too harsh. I tried so many different samples and decided that Notre Dame was my absolute favorite! It is really dark but still feels soft in small spaces like our guest powder bathroom. I also used this color on our lower cabinets but chose to have them mix it at 75% so it felt a little softer in our kitchen. It is a bold paint choice with dark blue and green undertones. Different lighting will cause it to show up slightly different but overall, it is a true soft black. This really is one of the very best dark paint colors out there so if you are looking for one, give it a try!

Brairwood

This color is one that I color matched so I could share! The previous owners used this color in many different parts of our home. I have kept it in many places and really love the undertones of this taupe/beige color. It is a great neutral to mix in without being too dark or overpowering. It blends well with Simply white and Notre Dame as well as our decor items. If you are looking for a great neutral, give this one try!
